In my nearly 20 years of professional experience, I’ve had the opportunity to exercise my love of words across many platforms. I’ve written concise news articles and feature stories for newspapers and magazines. I’ve crafted television and fundraising event scripts. I’ve explored email marketing and website content development. I’ve launched social media accounts and organically grown audiences. I’ve even set the words aside now and again in favor of telling stories through photography.
But my favorite thing to do is content development. I love the process of brainstorming ideas, drafting editorial calendars, writing content, and putting it all together like a puzzle. My love for this process began with print journalism, and currently I’m utilizing it as a content manager for Eightfold and with my personal content marketing project, Spooky Little Halloween.
Content Manager—Eightfold
May 2024 to present
As a content manager at Eightfold, I specialize in crafting campaign-specific resources aimed at driving thought leadership, generating leads, expanding our subscriber base, and increasing brand awareness. I use my diverse skill set to create various content formats such as e-books, white papers, infographics, guides, blogs, and emails.
Leveraging an understanding of Eightfold’s customer base, I develop compelling content and external-facing programs tailored to their unique experiences and success metrics. I also lead the creation of top tier content by collaborating cross-functionally with designers, product marketing, sales teams, and external influencers.
Additionally, I oversee and nurture Eightfold’s content pipeline in close alignment with marketing and sales objectives, focusing on top-of-funnel opportunities. Finally, I drive meaningful engagement across social media platforms by providing engaging text, image, and video content.

Content Creator—SpookyLittleHalloween.com
Sept. 2015 to present
Houston, TX
In 2015 I began a Halloween blog as a just-for-me writing project. By 2017, it turned into an adventure in digital content marketing. Over the past eight years, I’ve grown Spooky Little Halloween to a blog with more than 230,000 pageviews a year, a social media audience of 73,000+ across Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest, TikTok, and Twitter, and a weekly email newsletter audience of more than 5,700.
In 2018, I launched a printed mini-magazine that sold more than 500 copies in its first year. In 2021, I published my first full-size Halloween magazine and sold 1,000 copies—a project that has grown to a 60+ page annual project. I manage a Halloween book club with more than 5,500 members on Facebook, and I run a 40+ member professional group for content creators in similar niches. I have been able to work with brands such as Spirit Halloween, At Home, eBay, Applebee’s, and Penguin Dry Ice to develop blog and social content for products and campaigns.
